About The Brockaghs Walk:
This is one of the finest walks in the Wicklow hills with incredible views across the valleys of Glendalough and Glendasan. It also overlooks the Wicklow Gap and the small town of Laragh where the walk starts. From Lyhnams we cross over to the small petrol and in behind it to join a small forested track and part of the Wicklow Way which will bring up onto the side of Brockagh East.Passing through a field with a small grassy trail we follow this to the summit of this small hill. Here we can stop and enjoy a bite to eat and enjoy the 360 panoramic view before making our descent.
We will be stopping for a bite to eat along the way so bring a packed lunch.
How to get there by car: (From Dublin)
If you are travelling from Dublin take the M50 and the N11 take the turn of at Kilmacanogue for Roundwood / Glendalough. Follow this road for approx 20Km through Roundwood and Annamoe until you reach Laragh. Turn left at Lyhnams and continue past the GAA grounds for approx 500m and the free car park is on your right.What to Bring for you day walk.
Walking boots are essential, Rain gear, warm clothes, flask of hot drink, WATER, packed lunch, good socks, sun cream, camera and spare top in bag.
